Note: pack_format: 3 is critical for 1.12.2. Newer versions (4, 5, 6) will not load.
You might wonder: "Doesn't this work on newer versions?" It does, but 1.12.2 has unique advantages for resource pack users.

This is the classic "Gamma 1000" exploit.
In standard Minecraft, the environment becomes pitch black without a light source. A Fullbright resource pack alters the default light textures. It forces the game to render every block at maximum brightness (light level 15), regardless of the actual time of day or light source availability. Note: pack_format: 3 is critical for 1
Eliminates shadows and darkness, making caves and nighttime as bright as midday. Environmental Utility:

Return to Minecraft. You will see the Fullbright pack listed under "Available Resource Packs." Hover over it, click the arrow icon to move it to the "Selected Resource Packs" column, and click Done .
Create a folder structure inside your main folder: assets/minecraft/textures/misc .
