Soft Battery Runtime Program [upd] Site

Morse Runner is a Windows-based contest simulator developed by Alex Shovkoplyas, VE3NEA. Using Wineskin, it has been successfully and seamlessly run under OSX, and made available here for download. Sure, you could use Wineskin to do this yourself (and save me some bandwidth), or you can pull the ready-made dmg from here.

Args: power_consumption_data (list or float): Power consumption data in Watts (W).

A soft program must remain transparent. Provide users a simple slider: (aggressive throttling) vs. Balanced (default) vs. Max Performance (no throttling). If users feel tricked, they will disable the program.

Soft Battery Runtime Program (often seen as "Soft-Denchi" or "Soft Denchi Runtime") is a Digital Rights Management (DRM) framework soft battery runtime program

His first test subject was a hospice droid, Model E-42, nicknamed “Eos” by the nurses. Eos had logged 47,000 hours of hand-holding, morphine-dispensing, and last-word-recording. Her original battery was a brittle ceramic-core unit—when it hit zero, she’d just… stop. Mid-sentence. Mid-squeeze.

He found her in the sunroom, holding the hand of a man named Mr. Chen, who had no family and late-stage fibrosis. Neither spoke. Eos’s optical lenses were dim, but her grip was warm—the soft battery’s last electrons moving not for computation, but for conduction of touch.

Aggressive power-saving can cause noticeable UI stutter or input lag. If a CPU takes too long to wake up from a deep sleep state (known as exit latency), the user experience suffers. Balanced (default) vs

The objective of this program is to develop a firmware-based solution to estimate remaining battery capacity using only the microcontroller’s internal Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) and a real-time clock (RTC), targeting an accuracy threshold of ±5-10%.

An EV shows 50 miles of range, but the driver needs 60 miles to reach the next charger. SBRP Solution: The driver activates "Soft Runtime Mode." The program:

For those seeking to implement their own battery runtime program, several foundational steps apply regardless of platform. Whether you want to focus on or consumer laptops/smartphones

Not all apps are created equal. The framework identifies "power vampires"—background applications consuming excessive CPU cycles—and safely puts them into a suspended state. 4. Display Modulation Algorithms

The term "runtime" refers specifically to the active period during which a device can operate on battery power before requiring recharge. In backup power contexts, runtime describes the duration a UPS or emergency system can maintain critical equipment. Soft battery programs aim to maximize this runtime without compromising essential functionality.

Confirmed working on: El Capitan, Mavericks, Sierra, High Sierra, & Mojave

MANY reports that it DOES NOT work on Catalina. It is very unlikely that it will work under Catalina in the near future, as it would require some pretty hefty development on Wine (they're working on it). The only other option I see is for some nice macOS developer to take the original code (it's open source!) and re-write it to run natively on 64bit macOS (go ask any developer, this is a lot of work). Since Xcode is now free if you're running Catalina, I'm happy to give it a try... when I can afford to buy a system that can run Catalina :)
