restfb
RestFB is a simple and flexible Facebook Graph API client written in Java.
It is open source software released under the terms of the MIT License.

Features

restfb has been designed with several objectives in mind. The most important of these are defined as follows.

Zero runtime dependencies

You don't need to include additional libraries in your project. There are no dependency conflicts. In addition, RestFB is highly portable and can be used in both Android projects and normal Java applications.

Maximal extensibility

Although we provide a standard implementation for our core components, each component can be replaced with a custom implementation. This allows RestFB to be easily integrated into any kind of project. Even Android projects are supported.

Minimal public API

TThe RestFB API is really minimal and you only need to use one method to get information from Facebook and one to publish new items to Facebook. We provide default implementations for all the core components, so you can drop the jar into your project and be ready to go.

Simple metadata-driven configuration

Our Facebook types are simple POJOs with special annotations. This configuration is designed for ease of use and can be used to define custom types very easily.

Download

RestFB can be downloaded from Github or used as a Maven dependency. There is also a sample project on Github.

Better: 8muses Forum Refugees

For those who miss the discussion aspect of forums, decentralized subreddits or Lemmy instances provide a familiar layout. These spaces focus more on community interaction, recommendations, and news rather than hosting files directly. 3. Private Discord and Matrix Servers

"Refugees" often cite several reasons for choosing these alternatives over the original or the "official" new forum:

The platforms currently absorbing digital diasporas frequently integrate direct support mechanisms. Features such as integrated support links and premium gallery options are often standard. This integration incentivizes high-quality creators to engage directly with their audience, raising the overall quality of available content. Diversified Content Ecosystems

Following artists on their personal websites or verified portfolio pages ensures that the support goes directly to the source.

Digital communities frequently collapse or lose their appeal due to structural changes. When a platform's user experience declines, community "refugees" migrate to modern alternatives for several reasons:

A "better" platform offers clear, transparent guidelines and reliable moderation. Users want to feel safe sharing content without fear of arbitrary deletion. 2. Modern User Interface

A significant argument for why life after a migration can be better lies in how modern platforms support creators. Traditional forum models often hosted aggregated content without providing direct paths for intellectual property owners to sustain their work. For those who miss the discussion aspect of

The online landscape for adult comic enthusiasts shifted dramatically following major structural changes, content purges, and the eventual closure of the legendary 8muses forum. For over a decade, that forum served as the premier global hub for community-driven translations, independent comic curation, and passionate artistic discussion.

You aren't just looking for any website. You are looking for the feeling of 2008-era internet: niche, slow, respectful, and curated. For the 8Muses crowd, "better" is defined by four pillars:

Many creators and fans have moved toward mainstream social media platforms that offer "restricted" or "adult-only" settings. This allows for a more integrated experience where users can follow their favorite artists alongside other interests. This mainstream integration has helped destigmatize the appreciation of adult art and has made it easier for creators to build professional portfolios. Finding a New Digital Home

It sounds like you're referring to users migrating from the now-defunct (which was known for adult comic and art discussions) to other platforms. If you’re asking whether those "refugees" have created better, more informative content elsewhere, here’s a concise breakdown:

In the world of adult fiction and visual novels, specificity is king. Alternative platforms utilize robust, highly specific . Instead of relying on broad, archaic categories, refugees can filter content by genre, artist, status (completed vs. ongoing), and specific tropes. This makes content discovery exponentially faster and more accurate. 2. Superior UI/UX and Mobile Optimization

The original 8muses platform faced various hurdles regarding data privacy and site stability. Many "refugee" communities have since moved to platforms that prioritize encrypted communication and decentralized hosting. Whether it’s specialized Discord servers, Telegram channels, or privacy-focused image boards, the new wave of forums offers a level of anonymity that the aging architecture of 8muses simply couldn't maintain. 2. Modernized User Interfaces

: Using platforms like social media or comics allows displaced people to tell their own stories rather than being reduced to statistics or stereotypes.
