Supernatural All Seasons 1- 2- 3- 4- 5- 6- 7- 8- 9

For nearly a decade, Supernatural defined the landscape of genre television. What started as a simple pitch about two brothers hunting urban legends in a black ’67 Chevy Impala transformed into an epic, multi-season mythology spanning heaven, hell, and everything in between.

Season 8 has three interlocking plots:

Sam kills Lilith, unaware that her death is the final seal. Lucifer is freed. Season 5: The Apocalypse

In the emotional finale "Swan Song," Sam allows Lucifer to possess him to jump into the cage. Through his love for Dean, Sam regains control just long enough to pull himself, Lucifer, Michael, and Adam (their half-brother) into Hell, saving the world. Season 6: Soulless Sam and the Civil War in Heaven

The stakes escalate as we learn about the "Special Children"—psychic kids like Sam who were fed demon blood. The season culminates in the opening of the Devil’s Gate and the heartbreaking death (and resurrection) of Sam, which costs Dean his soul. Supernatural all seasons 1- 2- 3- 4- 5- 6- 7- 8- 9

The season deepens the mythology by revealing that Azazel has been visiting special children—infants whose mothers he killed—and giving them psychic powers. Sam is one of these children, and his abilities (premonitions, telekinesis) grow stronger. The story introduces other "special children," including a powerful psychic named Ava, and sets up a final showdown at a ghost town where Azazel forces the remaining children to fight to the death. The finale, "All Hell Breaks Loose," is a turning point: Azazel kills Sam, leading Dean to sell his own soul to bring Sam back. Sam then uses his powers to kill Azazel, but the victory comes at a terrible cost. As a parting gift, Azazel opens a massive gate to Hell, unleashing hundreds of demons upon the world.

All angels fall to Earth (angel wings burned into their vessels). Heaven’s gates remain open. Sam is near death. Dean is furious.

The focus shifts to the Word of God tablets. Sam and Dean attempt to complete three trials to close the Gates of Hell forever. Meanwhile, Castiel is manipulated by the scribe Metatron, leading to a stunning finale where the angels are cast out of Heaven. Season 9: Fallen Angels and the Mark

Season 2 picks up immediately after the crash, with Dean at death's door. John makes a deal with the Yellow-Eyed Demon, trading his soul and the Colt to save Dean's life. The brothers grapple with the weight of their father's sacrifice while continuing to hunt the demon. For nearly a decade, Supernatural defined the landscape

★★★★★ (5/5) – A masterpiece of horror, humor, and heart.

A brilliant meta-episode where the Trickster traps them in television parodies.

The finale sees Sam learn the truth about Gadreel's possession, creating an enormous rift between the brothers. Dean, now fully under the influence of the Mark of Cain and wielding the First Blade, kills Abaddon. The season ends on a bittersweet note: the brothers, more damaged and distant than ever, drive off together as Carrying On by Kansas plays, hinting that while they survived, their relationship may not.

The brothers deal with the aftermath of a tragic deal and the realization that Sam has psychic abilities. This season expands the lore of the "Special Children" and culminates in the opening of a Devil’s Gate, letting hundreds of demons loose on Earth. Season 3: The Clock is Ticking Lucifer is freed

The Mark corrupts Dean, making him overly aggressive and bloodthirsty.

Spanning over a decade of television, the first nine seasons of Supernatural take viewers on a gritty, emotional, and terrifying road trip across the American heartland. What begins as a simple quest to find a missing father evolves into an apocalyptic battle between Heaven and Hell, featuring brothers Sam and Dean Winchester, their angelic ally Castiel, and a 1967 Chevy Impala.

Sam acts completely on logic, devoid of empathy, making him a terrifyingly efficient hunter.
